summer is almost over

if you haven't done it yet, kick your shoes off and relax.  more photos from my vacation coming soon!!!  we made it back safe and sound.  as much as i love vacation, it is good to be home!

life lesson from daytona beach

if you are brave enough to eat at an ihop........do not venture into the restroom! 

the verdict is in

it is sun burn....even with sun block..........i look like a total tourist....i've had worse burns though!  i'm giving the sun a break and don't plan on going out to the beach till later this afternoon. 

so, i was watching the body boarders from my 12th story balcony....and saw the funniest thing.....two dolphins swam right into the area where people were swimming.  i was wearing my maui jim polarized sun glasses, so i could see them under the water, rolling in the waves......i was watching to see if the swimmers were going to get spooked by the fins...........there were two ladies pretty far out, the dolphins were in the wave coming right at them, the fins came out of the water and those two women paddled as fast as their arms and legs could go.  reading this story, it may not sound funny, but i promise it was funny to watch.

we are going to tour the angel and phelps chocolate factory today.....and from what i hear....i'll be getting some free samples.  i'll bring my camera, and while i am out, i will buy a memory card reader so i can post some pictures.  i haven't taken a whole lot of pictures.....it is tough to take pictures while riding the waves of the atlantic ocean.........life is tough!

we are having a great time.  i think i might be sun burned......i don't know though, i am allergic to sunblock, so my skin starts burning the moment i put it on.  i guess it is better to burn while you are in the sun rather than suffer the next two days after!!!  i just came in from the beach, i should have a better feel for it after i get my shower!!!!!

linda has begged me to see at least one family shot before i leave on vacation.....i found the best, played hair dresser for some wind blown hair....and i think this is the winner!!!!  hope you like it my dear!  linda, this is cropped to a 16x20 ratio.....and a 16x20 is what you should get for your wall!!!!!!  you will love it!

one last summer fling: a preview

well, sunday is my 12th wedding anniversary.  on saturday, david is taking me to watch the blue man group in orlando...we are sitting in the first row of the "non poncho" section!

then for a lovely stay at the marriott world center for the evening.

on sunday we will make our way, with the kids, to daytona beach for the remainder of the week!  we will be staying at the plaza resort and spa.

on tuesday, the space shuttle is scheduled to launch....it won't be front row seats, but it should be a wonderful site from some comfy chairs on the beach! 

now, i obviously didn't take these pictures.  i found them floating around the internet!  this is just a preview of my vacation.  i plan to come back with some good pictures!!!
